FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What is solution-focused hypnotherapy?

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a modern, evidence-based approach that combines psychotherapy, including goal setting with hypnosis to help you make positive changes in your life. It focuses on your strengths and future goalsrather than dwelling on past problems.

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a method of treating emotional and psychological difficulties through guided conversation and evidence-based techniques. It helps you develop coping strategies, change negative thought patterns, and improve overall well-being. Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy integrates psychotherapy with hypnosis to create lasting positive change.

Yes! Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions. As long as you have a quiet, comfortable space and a stable internet connection, you can experience the same benefits.

Your initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss what brings you to hypnotherapy, your goals, and how the process works. I will explain how the brain functions in relation to your concerns and how hypnotherapy can help. You will also receive a free hypnosis audio to support your progress between sessions.

It is recommended that you listen to the hypnosis audio relaxation daily, preferably before bed. Regular listening helps reinforce positive changes, encourages deep relaxation, and supports the progress you make during sessions

Each session is structured as follows:
1. Discussion – We talk about your progress and goals.
2. Psychological Insights – I explain how your brain works in relation to
your concerns and teach practical techniques and skills.
3. Hypnosis – I guide you into deep relaxation to help reinforce positive
change

No, hypnosis is a deeply relaxed state where you remain in full control. You will be aware of everything happening and can come out of hypnosis at any time if needed.

Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural process when practiced by a trained professional. It is simply a relaxed state of focused attention, similar to daydreaming or meditation. You will not lose control, get stuck in hypnosis, or be made to do anything against your will. However, it is not suitable for individuals with certain psychiatric conditions, such as psychosis, unless advised by a medical professional.

Every individual is different, but most clients notice positive changes within 6–12 sessions. Some may benefit from fewer, while others may choose ongoing support.

To get the most out of your session:
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed.
Use headphones for better sound quality.
Ensure your device has a stable internet connection.
Have a blanket or pillow nearby to help you relax.

Everyone responds differently, but many clients begin to notice positive shifts within just a few sessions. Some feel improvements after the first session, while others may take a few weeks. The key is consistency, both in attending sessions and listening to the hypnosis audio regularly.
